Mose Persico

Talk about working your way up! Persico's first job at CFCF 12 was in 1985--as the mail room clerk. Having more creative ambitions, he went on to hold positions as videotape operator, researcher, production assistant, and field producer for a plethora of CFCF 12 productions.
Persico has hosted and produced several award-winning shows, such as "Teenage Life," "Between the Sexes" and "Mose's Kitchen." From 2004 to 2008, he hosted a half-hour summer program called "Food and Fashion." From 2001 to 2008 he co-hosted "Entertainment Spotlight," a half hour television show which was really a potpourri of everything which falls under the umbrella of entertainment: lifestyle, fashion, leisure, music and, of course, food!
Currently, you can catch Persico Tuesday through Friday on CTV Montreal, as well as Sunday on CTV News at 6, for Mose at the Movies.He is host of Mo..Food!, a half hour Documentary style TV Cooking Show broadcast on demand on BellFibe now in its second season!
Born in Sorrento, Naples, Persico immigrated to Canada in 1965 aboard the ship Cristoforo Colombo with his parents and two sisters. He is a graduate of Cardinal Newman High school, Champlain Regional College and Concordia University where he received a BA in Communication Studies with a minor in Broadcast Journalism. Persico is married with no kids, but is the proud uncle of two nephews and two nieces.

Catherine Verdon Diamond

Delivering Breakfast Television’s daily dose of traffic and weather is the always outgoing Catherine Verdon-Diamond.
Catherine also travels to different locations around Montreal giving viewers an inside look to the fun things happening around our city.
Born in Montreal, the ambitious Verdon-Diamond grew up overseas, living in Egypt for three years before relocating to Israel for the next four years. Throughout her schooling in Israel, Verdon-Diamond regularly travelled to countries such as Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands to compete in various sports tournaments.
She returned to Montreal in 1994, where she later studied Social Science at Dawson College and Mathematics at Concordia University. In 2012, while working at CBC Montreal behind the scenes, Verdon-Diamond was offered the opportunity to present weather on the 11pm newscast. Just seven months after starting her on-air career, Catherine joined the new team at City Montreal.
Sabrina Marandola

Sabrina knew she wanted to work in Journalism ever since she was 9 years old. She took part in public speaking competitions at her elementary school, and that’s where she discovered her passion for storytelling.
Born and raised in Montreal’s East End, Sabrina graduated, with distinction, from Concordia University with a joint specialization in Communications and Journalism.
Sabrina works at CBC News Montreal, where she has honed her skills as a web journalist, radio/TV news reporter, radio host, weather presenter, writer/broadcaster, news reader, content editor, traffic reporter, studio director and producer.
When she is not working, Sabrina cannot get away from her Italian roots. She writes for Panoram Italia Magazine, loves to travel to Italy and is a self-confessed pizza addict.
Laura Casella
Anchor– Global News Morning Montreal
Laura is a proud second generation Italian-Canadian born and raised in Saint-Leonard. An English Montreal School Board alumni, Laura graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.
She began her broadcasting career in 2007 as a freelance reporter and overnight newscaster on CJAD 800. While at CJAD Laura also worked as a producer for the Tommy Schnurmacher Show. In 2011 she began working as the station's morning news reporter while at the same time freelancing for CTV Montreal. Some of the stories she has covered in the past decade include the heated Quebec student protests over tuition fee increases, floods in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, and the papal conclave in Rome. Laura was most recently seen on BT Montreal co-hosting and anchoring the news. When not at the news desk at Global, Laura is an active member of the community and a doting mom to young daughter Ella.
